Nutrition Guide
I have been interested in nutrition, diet and supplements all of my adult
life.
With the help of Rasaji, my Tai’ Chi Gung teacher and the system of health
he’s shared with me, I’ve learned quite a bit about daily nutrition that
works, and stuff that doesn’t matter all that much. (

It’s possible, from a
biological point of view, to summarize the body’s nutritional issues in
three main categories. For a more complete view of this topic, I highly
recommend that you read a book called “The Metabolic Plan” by Steven
Cherniske. It’s one of the best books I’ve ever read on nutrition, and
probably one of the most important books written on the topic in the past 30
years.
If you want optimal health and longevity beyond the average person, you
simply must address what the pharmaceutical industry calls inflammation.
For most people, it is hidden in the internal organs and does not register
as a symptom, but the most recent medical research indicates that probably
90% of all chronic health conditions, perhaps most disease of any kind,
rises out of excess inflammation in the body.
The second issue involves oxidative stress. Essentially, our bodies rust
from the inside out over time. That is to say, free radicals attack the
cell walls, they compromise DNA replication, damage and/or weaken the body
systems and accelerate the aging process leading to symptoms, what we call
getting sick.
The third issue involves repair and restore signals that operate in the body
via the endocrine glands. As time passes, and/or because of stress or
trauma, the body produces less of these signals, and the messages for
keeping the body young gradually fall away.
The supplement I take to address the first issue is something called
Regenicare. It keeps my joints and
muscular system flexible and incredibly comfortable, and I’ve found that by
taking it at night, I rest very deeply. In fact, when it’s a short night,
and I need the deep rest, I’ll double up on the dose just because I know
that I’ll wake the next morning more refreshed. It happens every time, it’s
amazing.
The supplement that I take to address oxidative stress is called
AgelessXtra, and it’s more potent cousin, Xperia. With the AgelessXtra I get the energy I
need throughout the day, and I feel no desire for caffeine or carbonated
drinks like I used to. It helps balance my blood sugar so I don’t have
sugar cravings most of the time. When I cheat, which I do on occasion, I
take a little more and bring myself right back into balance. It gives me
the antioxidant protection of more than 10 servings of fruits and veggies,
so I know I’m getting what I need every day.
The supplement I take for the signal system is based on pioneering research
on the compound DHEA. This is Steven Cherniski’s specialty. It turns out
that the faster you are aging or the worse your medical condition or the
higher your stress load, the lower your DHEA levels are. It is a hormone
produced in the body that is responsible for over 150 repair and restore
signals. Keeping the DHEA levels up, basically at the level of a healthy 30
year old, keeps the body sending out the biochemical message, “I want to
stay healthy and young and strong”, “Let’s make muscle instead of fat”,
“Let’s have abundant energy and not try to borrow from Peter to pay Paul.”
From these three core products, along with several others they offer, I
know that I’m filling all the daily nutritional gaps that might be there if
I don't "eat right". I know that they take my nutritional vitality to a level
that
is extraordinary. It takes about 3 minutes to get them in my system each day
and then I just go about living my life. It’s brought an incredibly positive
change over the past four and half years. When added to a daily
routine of Tai’ Chi Gung practice, I
feel I’m getting the best exercise and nutrition available anywhere.
The company that produces them is called Univera. You can learn more about
the company, its products and their benefits by going to

I really do care a lot about this. If one of our jobs as human beings is to
learn to love as much as possible… how can we do that if we’re sick or run
down or tired most of the time? I enjoy the convenience, and while I can talk about it
forever sometimes, this basic guide sums up what I’ve found to be the best
and most efficient combination based on my own experience, research and the guidance of my Tai’
Chi Gung Master.
P.S. There are specific things you can do to help get the best nutrition
for children. If that is your interest, please contact me and we can talk
about what works well for them. Children are generally much healthier than
the average adult, and their needs are generally much simpler, though
certainly no less important. You can reach me at 904-294-7219 or send your
